What a festival! I had never experienced anything like it! " Imagine a camping festival with a power grid and high-speed internet access; a temporary village of geeks, crafters, and technology enthusiasts that's lit up by night, and buzzing with activity during the day. Over a thousand curious people will descend on our friendly open space to learn, share, and talk about what they love. Over a long weekend, you can expect to see a huge variety of talks across three stages, a slew of workshops, as well as music, games, and installations dotted around the site. "
I only stayed one day but enjoyed it very much. Curiosity and open-mindedness were definitely core elements. From fire (ping) pong to walking inside The Grid, from attending various conferences to finding out about algorithmic raving (thank you people from Algorave, you really produced interesting sounds with your top notch coding skills!), my senses were alert and certainly pleased. I also enjoyed performing. Thank you to the EMF crew (particularly Naomi, Jonty and Dominic), all the volunteers, to Dave for driving us, to Gordon for enlightening me about what a Sinclair is, the everyone who attended and supported us. Sadly, there were technical issue with the live streaming of the gig, I think it didn't work. Never mind...
Here are a few pictures of the event. Huge thanks to SiriusPhoto.net for the pictures of the gig. :)
