Eva|3 and myself composed a brand new track this year. We decided to call it "The Fall" because of the sense of alienation surrounding the world right now. We decided to approach it in a cathartic way to illustrate shock and sensory overload while contrasting it with a more melodic side showing despair but also inviting introspective reflection.

Pictures were taken by Stefan Alt in Altenburg at Elektroanschkag 2017.
www.ant-zen.com/salt www.facebook.com/stefan.alt www.flickr.com/photos/salz www.instagram.com/salzfabrik ![]() Every year, between the end of March and beginning of April, the Brauerei (brewery) in Altenburg is taken over by a bunch of electronic music enthusiasts. This festival is known as Elektroanschlag. And what a festival it was! I had heard great words about it but reality was even better. The location was perfect (the Brauerei is actually an historic building), the organisation was impeccable, the line-up was really innovative and interesting, the atmosphere was relaxed and very friendly. I would like once again to thank Gandy and his fantastic helping crew. Nothing would have been possible without you. Elektroanschlag festival is really one of a kind. On a more personal level, it was great to catch up with old friends and to meet new ones. Many familiar faces came from France. I got to finally meet with the sweet guys from Mourmansk 150 and managed to exchange a few words with my friends from Audiotrauma. The warm and gracious team running the Ant-Zen merchandising stall welcomed us really well. We shared many gins and laughter together. I did manage to buy a couple of CDs (thank you Mirko, they are awesome as always!) ![]() On the musical side of things, I was gutted I missed the first night but unfortunately, there was no other way. My favourite live act was Esplendor Geometrico. These two never disappoint with their relentless beats and their powerful energy. Anemone Tube also caught me eyes (and ears.) I thoroughly enjoyed listening to his dark ambient poetic soundscapes. I missed Beinhaus because of too much chatting but their performance seemed quite intense, mixing elements of punk with old school banging on scrap metal material. My performance as Riotmiloo was magical. Last time I played in Germany was with Eva|3 ten years ago. I was slightly apprehensive. How would the audience take this new project? Well, the audience was incredible. The minute we started, I felt them listening attentively, cheering, clapping, reacting passionately to my frantic outbursts as well as my whispers and calmer songs. Lovely people, you carried me through the whole performance. Your support was astonishing. I felt overwhelmed; you melted my heart and will stay in my memory forever. I’d also like to thank Eva|3 for his precious help, Stefan Alt for being a top notch person and photographer and thanks as well to anyone who attended and documented our gig. Many wonderful pictures were taken that night. Find a little selection below… <3 Hi everyone, I am pleased to announce that I now have my own official YouTube channel. To celebrate, here is a HD live video of Riotmiloo performing live at Ex.Fest 2016, Lyon, in France with Eva|3 . Apart from that, we had a lot of fun at Noise Corruption meets Ouroboros in London last week-end. What a night! It was great to see old faces and get to meet new ones, my knees are bruised but my head is full of happiness. Thanks to everyone who made it as well as the organisers. I really enjoyed the focus on making the event accessible to all (including people with disabilities.) You are stars.
I am glad to announce that the Ouroboros collective and Noise Corruption invited me to play in a central London established Art Gallery. The gig is happening on the 17th of February at the Underdog Gallery, 6 Crucifix Ln, London SE1 3JW. There will be exhibitions, performances and workshops happening during the day too and until the following Wednesday. Here is the event link: https://www.facebook.com/events/1251657758235581/ I can't wait to show you my new visuals! They will be inspired by the photographic work of Jessica Hosman. Each picture will illustrate my songs and will contain reworked fragments of my lyrics. Here are screenshots to give you a better idea. :)
What a festival! I had never experienced anything like it! " Imagine a camping festival with a power grid and high-speed internet access; a temporary village of geeks, crafters, and technology enthusiasts that's lit up by night, and buzzing with activity during the day. Over a thousand curious people will descend on our friendly open space to learn, share, and talk about what they love. Over a long weekend, you can expect to see a huge variety of talks across three stages, a slew of workshops, as well as music, games, and installations dotted around the site. " I only stayed one day but enjoyed it very much. Curiosity and open-mindedness were definitely core elements. From fire (ping) pong to walking inside The Grid, from attending various conferences to finding out about algorithmic raving (thank you people from Algorave, you really produced interesting sounds with your top notch coding skills!), my senses were alert and certainly pleased. I also enjoyed performing. Thank you to the EMF crew (particularly Naomi, Jonty and Dominic), all the volunteers, to Dave for driving us, to Gordon for enlightening me about what a Sinclair is, the everyone who attended and supported us. Sadly, there were technical issue with the live streaming of the gig, I think it didn't work. Never mind... Here are a few pictures of the event. Huge thanks to SiriusPhoto.net for the pictures of the gig. :)
You'd think after all that post Brexit vote nonsense, things could not get any worse? Sorry to disappoint, I am afraid they are. Various events happening in various places in the world (with more or less media coverage) have dreadful consequences. One of them is that hate crime figures are on the rise. That leaves one with two choices: either bear the hardship, bear the brunt or take action. I still haven't witnessed hate crime myself but I feel I am now confident and ready to tackle it.
It all started with the safety pin campaign. This symbol of solidarity with fellow immigrants made me feel better, I wore it with pride. I could see more smiles on people's faces. Then a policeman gave me this leaflet. Thanks you Mr Policeman. I have it all the time on me. If I ever witness abuse, I pledge to take action! On a different topic, on the musical side of things, I am currently working on a cover song to adress this issue. I have teamed up with Eva|3 to compose and record it. We have also decided to offer it for free exclusively to my mailing list subscribers (once the track is finished of course.) Promise I won't spam you, I rarely use it anyway, maybe twice in ten years? Anyway, if you are interested in getting that track for free, sign up below please. Thanks. :) I have been a bit of an emotional wreck this week and ended up thinking a lot. Arguments between "Brexiters" and "Remainers" are also in the equation causing my low. I am an immigrant myself, a French girl who decided to leave her native country because she couldn't stand the hatred over there any longer. I have observed an increasing level of hatred here in England too.
After spending fourteen years here in England, I can observe that people are struggling here. I know people who are genuinely finding it hard to make ends meet. But I truly believe it isn't the immigrants' fault. Politicians haven't addressed the issues of housing and poverty. They have enabled people to buy social houses without replacing them. They have chosen to slash down benefits making the most vulnerable even more vulnerable. Once again, it isn't the immigrants' fault. On Thursday, the murder of Labour MP Jo Cox really hit me emotionally. I am reading more and more about her. She seemed to be a lovely person who valued Tolerance and Altruism. I won't vote next week, I am not allowed to. But since yesterday, I made a promise to myself. I want the world to be a kinder place. I will try to show it by my actions. I will carry on fighting for what I believe in too: tolerance, respect, kindness, helping people the best I can. Wake up people, we need to make this world a better place together, not by being swallowed in a ball of hatred. Have a good day everyone! #alltogethernotagainsteachother More than a week after the event and I am still filled with happiness. Well that was a great night, wasn't it? I've had lots of fun, many thanks to Andrew without whom nothing would have happened, all the bands involved (Commercial suicide, Cryogenica and Black Light Ascension) and as well all the lovely people who gave money generously. Additional special thanks to Paul, you are just the best, as well to all the fantastic people who responded so well to our set. I wasn't expecting it. From the bottom of my heart, huge thanks. :) And last but not least, we managed to raise more than £400, pretty amazing, right? All proceeds went to Crisis. I am so proud. What a success! xxx #AlltogetherforCrisis
